xStation01 is run by JR East Marketing & Communications for people working on Hokkaido's local challenges. It has an event space, a coworking space and offices.
The whole facility covers 709 m², of which the community lounge is 289.20 m². It holds up to 90 people.
01 · Community lounge
A lounge with free seating
The free-seating community lounge is open to drop-in users. Seats cannot be booked — take any free seat when you arrive.
There are fast Wi-Fi, power, a printer and free drinks. Payment is cashless.
02 · Single booths
Booths for calls and online meetings
The lounge has single-person booths — good for meetings and calls you would not take in a café.
The official site says that when it is busy, use is limited to about two hours.
03 · Kitchen and events
A kitchen and events for up to 90
The lounge has a kitchen. Light, odour-free snacks are allowed at the window seats.
The lounge also hosts events for up to 90 people.
04 · Meeting rooms
Three meeting rooms and a seminar room
Three meeting rooms — two for 6 people and one for 10 — are open to anyone.
A seminar room, partitioned off from the lounge, seats 50 theatre-style.

“Incubation” means hatching: a place that helps new businesses and companies grow.
xStation01 calls itself a regional business incubation space that connects people who want to solve local challenges in Hokkaido.
